Cyst, Bumps, and Lipomas
There are all kinds of facial cysts and bumps that can develop. Most of them are not serious but it is important to have them evaluated. Depending on what they are Dr. Guy may recommend surgical removal or observation. Common findings include cysts (collection of skin cells under the skin) and lipomas (benign fatty growths). When choosing a surgeon to remove these be certain he or she is skilled in surgery of the face. You do not want to exchange one cosmetic problem for a poorly planned scar designed by a lesser trained surgeon.
